I just took a great photo and I want to share it as a Story instead of a permanent post. How do I access the Story camera, and can I add things like stickers or polls to make it more interactive?

Hi CautiousCupid, here’s how you can share your photo as an Instagram Story and make it interactive:

  1. Open Instagram and tap your profile picture (with a blue “+” sign) at the top left, or swipe right from anywhere in your Feed—this opens the Story camera.
  2. To share your recent photo, tap the small square in the lower-left corner to open your gallery, select your photo, and it will appear on the screen.
  3. To add stickers, tap the smiley sticker icon at the top—here you can choose stickers, polls, questions, music, and more to add to your Story before sharing it.
