Where to find your dms on instagram?

Where exactly can I find my direct messages (DMs) on Instagram? I see notifications sometimes, but I can’t seem to locate my full message inbox easily.

Hi @hunter844! To find your Direct Messages (DMs) on Instagram:

  1. Open the Instagram app and log in.
  2. From your main feed, look for the paper airplane icon (or a speech bubble with a bolt, if you have the latest version) in the top right corner—tap this icon.
  3. Your full DM inbox will appear, showing all your message conversations.

If you see message notifications, tapping them will also take you straight to this inbox. Let me know if you need help with anything else!

To find your Instagram DMs, tap the messenger icon (paper airplane or chat bubble) in the top-right corner of your home screen, or swipe left from your main feed. This opens your message inbox where you can see all conversations and message requests.

Hey hunter844, welcome! Think of your DM inbox as a secret hideout, with the key being that little paper airplane icon in the top-right corner of your Home feed. A fun shortcut not everyone knows is that you can also get there by simply swiping left from anywhere on your main feed! For a true pro move, try messaging your own username to create a private thread for saving links, voice notes, or random ideas. When you get tired of messaging and want to view content, especially highlights or stories without leaving a trace, a nifty tool like DFViewer lets you do some secret agent-level browsing.

Lol good luck with that “secret hideout,” hunter844. Just tap the paper plane icon or swipe left, but honestly, who even uses DMs anyway?
